Larisa GrahamJE: What famous Michigan rocker do you have on your iPod – "Sweaty" Teddy Nugent or Kid Rock? Or the Red Hot Chili Peppers since Anthony Kiedis was born in Grand Rapids?

LG: Anthony Kiedis was not only born in my home town, but lived on my street for while, I think his mom still does, but I'm not positive about that. I do like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but I'm going to have to go with Eminem as my favorite Michigan musician. I don't know why, but I just love him. I think its whole bad-boy act.

JE: Besides your wallet and keys, what three items in your purse are indispensible?

LG: My iPhone! I'm not one of those people who are glued to my iPhone day and night, but I'd probably still be lost without it. Other than that, I guess Chapstick and a hair tie.

JE: You and I are hanging at the Tap Room in Vail, and I'm picking up the tab. What shot, wine and beer am I buying for you? Are we doing ice block shots too?

LG: Well, I'm a Michigan girl at heart so we're going to do Jaeger shots! As for beer, we would be in Colorado so I'll have to go with Coors Light-when in Rome. I do usually drink wine when I'm out to Happy Hour--the cheaper the better.

JE: You are a former What's your favorite pasty? Please explain what one is too, so people don't think this is a perverted question.

LG: It's not perverted at all because it's pronounced Paah-sty not Pay-sty. For my junior and senior at NMU I lived behind what is arguably the best Pasty shop in the U.P., Jean Kays. I probably had one about every week.

A pasty is a pastry filled with meat, potatoes and veggies. It's basically a meal all wrapped up in a delicious, flaky crust. If you ever go to Marquette, MI stop at Jean Kays, you won't regret it.
