Elliot left a successful fifteen-plus year management career that he worked at Fortune 500 and S&P 500 companies to pursue his passion for writing about the outdoors. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from La Roche College. His true passion lies outside the office and cyber walls of OutdoorInformer.com. Elliot regularly explores Western Pennsylvania on hiking and backpacking excursions, tames class V rapids on the Yough, road bikes the ascending hills around Pittsburgh, and skis one of the longest black diamond glades run in the Eastern U. S. at Blue Knob. Many of Elliot’s outdoor excursions are in the national parks in the U. S. Elliot’s national park adventures have included backpacking the isolated geyser basins in Yellowstone, hiking to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite, riding the rough ocean surf at Canaveral, exploring the underworld at Mammoth Cave, swimming with the tropical reef creatures at Waterlemon Key in St. John’s, and dozens of other experiences.
