Both of these trail running shoes launch La Sportiva’s MorphoDynamic. A technology that is advertised as addressing the need for lighter footwear that is lower to the ground and well cushioned. La Sportiva is reporting that the MorphoDynamic technology has been in development for two years. The Electron and Quantum boasts La Sportiva FriXion AT rubber which claims to increase the cushion in the midsole but doesn’t the increase the weight of the shoe. The Electron and Quantum will be available at retailers in the Spring 2011. La Sportiva has not released prices for either models yet. La Sportiva’s claims are a positive step in trying to bring your foot closer to the ground to emulate barefoot running. The shoes have a unique design and look which should also be a hit with pseudo-outdoor enthusiasts that covet fashion over function. |
