Hiking boots today are lighter and higher performing than ever. New technologies are making the materials lighter and more durable. Gone are the days when you would dread lacing up a clunky pair of stiff-fitting boots for a day of hiking or backpacking trips.

They along with the midsole assist reducing the stress on a hiker’s body . The lugs are of a hard compound giving durability to the design.

Walking through water features are not a problem since the Halite GTX is waterproof. The outer boot is made of leather to provide durability and makes it easier to clean. The upper is sturdy for ankle support and features La Sportiva’s trademarked 3D Flex Ankle design to provide ample mobility. The lining of the boot is made of Gore-Tex, which adds to its waterproof design and helps wick away sweat quickly.

La Sportiva’s Halite GTX’s durable design also allows for comfort from the midsole and insole. A hiker’s feet will be thankful after a full day on the trails. All this features are squeezed in just over 21 ounces per hiking boot.
