Friendship Hill National Historic Site preserves the history of one of the pioneers in early America, Albert Gallatin. The national park celebrates the life of the U.S.’s longest-tenured Secretary of State.

Not as well known is the network of hiking trails that surround the historical site. The trail system is far from vast but the 10-miles of trails are scenic and challenging. A low-cut hiking shoe is perfect for a hiking at Friendship Hill, and the Vasque Breeze Low GTX is the means for fun on the trails.

The Vasque Breeze Low GTX hiking shoe is constructed with waterproof Gore-Tex fabric to keep a hiker’s feet dry while giving these boots breathability. Gore-Tex has been delivering breathable, waterproof, and durable fabrics since the 1980’s.

The Vasque Breeze Low GTX has a comfortable fit which is partly due to the technology used in these hiking shoes. The sole of the Vasque Breeze Low GTX is from Vibram which is known for durability and superior traction. The lugs on the sole are deep and provide good traction even on wet and mud-bogged terrain.Vasque Logo

The Vasque Breeze Low GTX hiking shoe is waterproof, breathable, and comfortable. They are a low-cut hiking shoe, so the ankle support is lacking compared to a full hiking boot. Though, low-cut equates to lower weight. The Breeze comes in at slightly under 2 pounds (1 pound 15 ounces).

The Vasque Breeze Low GTX hiking shoe comes in standard U.S. sizes from 7 to 15. Vasque offers these in one color scheme – Coffee/Spice. The Vasque Breeze Low GTX has an MSRP of $130 and is covered by Vasque's 1-year warranty for any defects in materials or workmanship.
