Boreas LogoBoreas, a new outdoor equipment brand, will be giving attendees a view of the company's design process at the 2011 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market according to a recent press release. Boreas is anticipating the launch of the initial product line in Spring 2012.

Boreas will have designers sketching and sewing on tech packs during the Outdoor Retailer. Boreas has stated their product lines are being designed with a bottom-up approach – gathering user input and working backwards to develop a product design. Boreas staff will be collecting attendees' feedback at the Outdoor Retailer.

Boreas' gear will be focused towards everyday equipment users and the design process will use material that is best-suited for the products' functions. The press releases states Boreas' simple process and the method of material usage will help bring the company's products to market at an attractive price.
