Atomic and Salomon team up for new backcountry binding

Salomon LogoAtomic LogoSalomon and Atomic has teamed up to introduce a new backcountry binding. The new Salomon Guardian 16 and Atomic Tracker 16 will be available fall/winter 2012.

Both will bill be identical technically and functionally. The binding chassis has a lower stand height for stability. A greater responsiveness will result in quick and precise turns.

Transition from hiking to riding by pushing a switch on the binding with your ski pole. After you are done climbing, quickly switch to the riding position, step down your heel until the binding locks into place, and go.

Salomon Guardian 16Guardian 16

Not only will the Salomon Guardian and Atomic Tracker 16 have the same features and specifications, both will have the same suggested retail price.
