Outdoor Research SunShower SombreroThe right hat for water and earthen trails makes your outdoor adventures bearable to enjoyable under baking sunrays or a wet downpour. Outdoor Research and Headsweats gives high performing choices.

Outdoor Research SunShower Sombrero

The SunShower Sombrero glows brighter than a bright-orange highlighter. Its Diablo color is one of the color choices Outdoor Research offers for the SunShower.

Outdoor Research designed the hat with Supplex fabric. Supplex boasts the comfort of cotton but with the advantages of synthetic materials. It’s breathable, hold its shape and dries more quickly than cotton.

Supplex gives it UPF 30 protection, and a mesh side panel flanks each side of the SunShower Sombrero adds to the hat’s wicking ability.

On a longer day hike under intense sun, the SunShower Sombrero’s headband soaked up the perspiration and wicked it away before it was smelly and sweaty. A swift wind makes you secure your SunShower with its Velcro adjustable headband and drawstring that fits under your chin.

The hat’s Pertex rain cover separates the Outdoor Research SunShower Sombrero from usual hiking and paddling hat. It stows in a small pocket located under the rear of the brim. It slips over your hat effortlessly with the first rain drizzles. Outdoor Research offers the hat in olive/khaki and black/dark gray also if you don’t want to look like a construction cone. (MSRP $60)
