The Bruce Peninsula, located at the tip between Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, is located in Southern Ontario, about 250 miles (400km) northwest of Toronto. One of Canada's longest hiking trails, The Bruce Peninsula is the perfect start for beginner hikers with close to 100 miles of trails (150km). Its trails were the best place to try out a pair of new Hi-Tec Altitude Glide WP hiking boots. I put my Hi-Tec Altitude Glide WP hiking shoes to the test with a full day of rough hiking through caves, and muddy trails. The Altitude Glide WP boots molded comfortably to my feet. The lining of the boot was well cushioned which prevented soreness anywhere around my foot. This was a welcome surprise since most hiking boots have longer breaking point until they can comfortably mold to your foot. Over unstable terrain and moist landscape, the Altitude Glide WP handled the beating of the trail. And the waterproof sealed construction and soft fabric lining performed well on one of Canada's longest hiking trails. I was impressed how my feet stayed dry even in a moist environment for a long period of time. The breathable liner allowed the sweat to escape but kept the outside water from entering. I loved that the Hi-Tec Altitude Glide WP is lightweight but durable hiking boot. The additional support around the ankle makes it appear thicker and heavier, but it has a high quality design. The support around the ankles makes it feel less like a bulky hiking boot. It was ever so flexible that hiking up steep hills was effortless. A
